The crime scene or the incident where the police shot the police that occurred at the home of the Head of the Profession and Security Division (Kadiv Propam) of the National Police Inspector General Ferdy Sambo is still a mystery.
Police released Brigadier J died in a shooting incident with
Bharada E at Inspector General Ferdy Sambo's house at the Duren Tiga Police
Complex, South Jakarta, Friday (8/7). However, the incident was only revealed
by the police on Monday (11/7).
Both Brigadier J and Bharada E were Ferdy's aides. Brigadier
J served as driver for Ferdy's wife, while Bharada E was in charge of
protecting the family of the Propam Head of Division.
The police claimed that the shooting was initiated by
Brigadier J's alleged abuse of Sambo's wife.
The police stated that Brigadier J used an HS pistol with a
16-round magazine, while Bharada E used a Glock pistol with a 17-round
magazine. According to the police, as many as 7 bullets were fired by Brigadier
J, but none of them hit Bharada E. Then, 5 bullets were spit out by Bharada E
and hit Brigadier J's body. The incident that was just revealed by the police
on Monday (11/7/2022) killed Brigadier J.
This can not be separated from several irregularities in the
handling and the unclear causes behind the incident that occurred in Duren
Tiga, Pancoran, South Jakarta, Friday at 17.00 WIB (8/7/2022).
From this incident, Brigadier Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat as/alias Brigadier J, died after being shot by Bharada E. This oddity was also
agreed by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs
(Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD.
"This case cannot be allowed to just flow because there
are many irregularities that arise from the handling process and the unclear
explanation of the Police themselves, the relationship between the cause and
effect of each chain of events," said Mahfud quoted from his Instagram
account, @mohafudmd, Wednesday ( 13/7/2022).
Mahfud stated that the shooting of a fellow member of the
Bhayangkara Corps was a gamble for the credibility of the Police and the
government. Considering that the Police have always received positive reviews
from the public, as reported by a number of survey institutions in the past
year. “The credibility of the Police and the government is at stake in this
case. Because in the last year or so, the Police have always received high
positive assessments or perceptions from the public according to the results of
various survey institutions," said Mahfud.

Tuesday (12/7/2022) National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo formed a joint team to investigate this case. Five generals 'go down the mountain' to make things clear. Deputy Chief of Police Komjen Pol Gatot Eddy Pramono will act as team supervisor, while Irwasum Komjen Pol Agung Budi Maryoto will lead the team, followed by the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police Komjen Pol Agus Andrianto, Kabaintelkam Polri Komjen Pol Ahmad Dofiri, and Assistant Chief of the National Police for Human Resources Inspector General Pol Wahyu Widada . Reported the Alleged Premeditated Murder of Brigadier J to the Criminal
Investigation Unit at the National Police Headquarters, the report has been
registered with the number LP/B/0386/VII/2022/SPKT/BARESKRIM POLRI, dated July
18, 2022. The reported crimes are, namely, suspicion of premeditated murder as
referred to in Article/Pasal 340 of KUHP/the Criminal Code in conjunction with murder as
referred to in Pasal/Article 338 of KUHP/the Criminal Code, and allegations of
maltreatment that caused the death of another person as referred to in Pasal/Article
351 Ayat/Paragraph 3, namely regarding severe persecution.

special team to investigate the case of Brigadier J's death which was

residence.
It is known that Sambo has never been seen in public after
the shooting that led to the death of Brigadier J at his residence, Duren Tiga,
South Jakarta.
After the deadly incident, Sambo only 'appeared' to the
public when he cried in the arms of the Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector
General Mohammad Fadil Imran. At that time, Fadil was visiting Sambo's office
at the National Police Headquarters.
In a short video that circulated last week, Fadil was seen
entering the room and was immediately greeted by Sambo. The two then shook
hands and hugged.

Listyo emphasized that the National Police would be
transparent and accountable in investigating the shooting of Brigadier J. He
has also appointed the Deputy Chief of the National Police, Komjen Gatot Eddy,
to carry out the duties of the Head of the Propam Police Division to replace
Sambo.
